The Role of a Field Service Engineer
Based from home you will be required to carry out breakdown and planned repair work on commercial buses. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday but your overall earnings are controlled by you as overtime is freely available.
Key Skills
As technology has developed so has the skills required to diagnose and repair these modern vehicles. Ideally you will have experience in carrying out laptop diagnostic work and be skilled both in electrical and mechanical vehicle repair work. Ideally commercial buses.

Field Test Engineer (Power Generation)

The Role of a Test Engineer:
You will travel around the UK in a team of up to 4 engineers to the customer’s premises. You will be required to analyse and test (in great detail) the full range of equipment on site including large gas turbines, compressors and fluid flow combustion systems for example. Along with this, you may also need to strip down and rebuild these machines on site when complicated faults have occurred.
Key Skills
- For this role you will need a recognised Engineering qualification.
- Experience on related machinery, such as turbines or compressors would be advantageous.
- You will need to have good communication skills, a good work ethic and the ability to learn and pick up the training provided.

The Role of a Field Service Engineer
In this role you will be based at a high profile customer site though you may be required to attend neighbouring sites using your company vehicle. You will work Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm with a generous overtime rate for additional hours. You will provide both planned and reactive maintenance on diesel generators to a strict schedule ensuring machinery downtime is kept to a minimum.
Key Skills
- Most importantly you will posses mechanical and electrical experience with diesel generators.
- You will have a solid work history, a strong work ethic and be a team player.
- Previously successful candidate’s backgrounds include forces, HGV and generators.
Benefits
Basic salary £28,000 – £32,000 with average earnings of £36-40,000 per annum plus pension life assurance and generous holiday allowance.
