Customer Support Engineer – TV & Radio Broadcast Transmitters

Our client is a leading international supplier of broadcast television and radio transmitter products. They have recently expanded their business within the UK and now intend to strengthen their customer support team. An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Customer Support Engineer to become a key part of a new group within the service operation.

In this role you will be responsible for providing product support on the company’s transmitter systems. This is a hands-on role that will require significant field based work.

As a Customer Support Engineer your duties will include:

• Onsite installation, testing and handover
• Providing product support to customers on the phone and onsite
• Fault-finding and maintenance

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

• Previous experience of engineering on broadcast radio or TV transmitters
• HNC or degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
• Knowledge of RF technology and RF test procedures and test methods
• In-depth knowledge of broadcast television and radio transmitters

As the Customer Support Engineer you should also have good communication skills coupled with a flexible approach.

Working within a modern electronic assembly and test facility, you will be responsible for:

• Testing and fault-finding to component level on a wide arrange of complex communication and related electronic systems.

Primary purpose of the position:

An exciting position has arisen at the fulcrum of our global growth satellite and telcomms company at the vanguard innovation. You will be heavily involved in Product and Service Management, including the continued development of broadband data connection technology for anywhere on Earth. The management of SPS products, and product developments related to GSPS deployment.
A key individual is therefore needed to support a full range of activities, covering all Land and Maritime Products under development or in evolution.
