Our client researches, designs and develops secure communication systems, hardware and software. They are looking for people to be part of a multi-skilled project team delivering communication systems for use by Her Majesty’s Government at home and overseas.
Working within a modern electronic assembly and test facility, you will be responsible for:
- Testing and fault-finding to component level on a wide arrange of complex communication and related electronic systems.
- Continual review of existing test specifications to ensure they are fit for purpose and to identify changes to enhance test processes.
- Development of test specifications for newly developed products, including the provision of test documentation.
Required Skills
Applicants should have the following skills and experience:
- In-depth practical experience of electronic test and fault-finding gained from working in a high quality manufacturing environment
- An ONC/HNC (or higher) or equivalent in Electronics Engineering
Desirable skills
- A degree in Electronic Engineering
- RF circuit testing
- Inspection of electronic assemblies

Electrical & Electronic Test Control Systems Engineer
Education
- HND/Degree in Electrical & Electronic engineering or equivalent
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in designing, fabricating, programming and commissioning bespoke test systems
- Experience in generating technical and user documentation for test systems
- Sound programming ability of PLC’s & HMI’s, preferably Siemens
- Sound programming ability using C++, VB, Labview or similar
- Experience of designing PCBs and Control panels
- Experience working with AutoCAD and Pro Engineer
- Able to work under his/her own initiative and formulate strategies for continual improvement.
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- High standard of numeracy and literacy.
Responsibilities
- Review current manual Factory Qualification Test (FQT) methods of electro-mechanical assemblies and develop a technical specification for an automated/semi-automated test system
- Generate a project proposal, including timelines and costing
- Design, fabricate and install new test systems
- Develop user documentation for test systems
- Train users on the operation and maintenance of the test systems
- Identify other operations within the production environment that could be automated and present proposals to senior management
Full UK driving licence is required

Test Development Engineer
Our client, a leading solution provider, and serving various international companies are looking to recruit an experienced Test Development Engineer with the ability to design and implement automated production test equipment to join their existing development engineering department on the development of a variety of leading edge products and applications.
Reporting to the Test Manager you will be responsible for the design of the hardware test strategy and documentation for a variety of solutions as required, development of test specifications and plans, taking ownership and implementing test strategies for products and projects and the qualification and verification of new hardware products.
Our client is looking for individuals who are qualified to degree standard or equivalent in a related subject such as Electronics, Science or Engineering and have at least 5 years commercial experience of working within Test Development including the design and development of test interfacing and the ability to influence design for test, writing technical and test documentation along with a good working knowledge of LabVIEW and JTAG/ boundary scan.

LabVIEW Software Developer – Software Engineer – Aviation
LabVIEW Software Developer/ Software Engineer. Aviation/ Engineering client- South Hants.
A LabVIEW Test Software Developer/ Programmer with commercial experience as a platform and development environment Engineer is required for the Test & Software group division of this Aviation client. Aviation background is ideal, a Defence background is a must.
Security Clearance or the ability to be Security Cleared is essential.
Qualifications and skills:
- Strong and current LabVIEW development experience (CLD or CLA preferable) up to Version 8.6 is essential
- Strong and current TestStand development and customisation experience (CTD or CTA preferable) Version 3.5 thru 4.1 ideally
- Practical experience in a dynamic hands on development environment
- Experience working as part of a team in a structured software development environment

This is a role for a proactive, hands on software engineer, to design and develop fully documented, scalable and robust Automated Test Equipment software. The group has a responsibility to provide test systems to be used in the test and validation hardware, with the engineer gaining full lifecycle exposure from prototype test and software design through to final validation and production support.
