Now the largest manufacturer of its kind in the world, our client has been unaffected by the recent economic downturn. Quite the opposite in fact with customer demand having increased by over 70% in the last two years the business has invested millions of pounds into this flagship UK site introducing new lines and new machinery to meet growing production requirements. This recent performance has created a need for an additional 8 skilled maintenance engineers to assist in the integration of the new equipment and the ongoing maintenance requirements.
The Role of a Maintenance Engineer
Your main priority will be keeping any production down time to a minimum. The site produces a huge 2,000,000 units per day, so meet this goal you will be required to perform planned maintenance on the company’s wide range of plant and production equipment to ensure reliability. When necessary you will also be required to address any reactive maintenance issues therefore your fault finding skills must be of the highest calibre to work within this highly skilled team.
- The successful applicants will be mechanically or electrically biased with a good knowledge of the opposing skill set
- An understanding of PLC automation.
- You will hold a professional engineering qualification ideally apprenticeship gained, possess an excellent work ethic
- A desire to consistently improve your technical skills with a fantastic employer.
